A friend of mine e-mailed me and a bunch of other people he knows, informing all us recipients of a recent article about upcoming legislation that could possibly make certain "fair use" tasks no longer legal. He encouraged, in his e-mail, to write MPs to block the bill.

Having not seen the actual text of the bill (which, according to the article, is still being worked out) I won't state any opinion yet, but given that the new Conservative party is pretty much Republican Lite^TM I probably won't like it when it's presented in Commons. So, if you're worried about it, feel free to write your MP. I'll wait a bit first, though, just in case it's all Chicken Little.
