The project module doesn't like me.
I've been trying to use the Drupal project module for managing my projects here on the site, but unfortunately there seems to be a problem with it that prevents me from putting up project releases. Hopefully a final release for Drupal 5 sites will be available shortly.
Improving how you use LinkedIn
Venture capitalist and Apple alumnus Guy Kawasaki last week posted in his blog Ten Ways to Use LinkedIn (which, strangely enough, actually has thirteen ways). Since I use LinkedIn to keep what effects to an online resume and rolodex, having good advice on how to improve my use of the service is always useful.
The Canadian DMCA?
A friend of mine e-mailed me and a bunch of other people he knows, informing all us recipients of a recent article about upcoming legislation that could possibly make certain "fair use" tasks no longer legal. He encouraged, in his e-mail, to write MPs to block the bill.
Projects are up on here for good!
I've finally worked out the problem I've been having with providing my projects here on coldacid.net. I'm embarassed to admit that I was responsible for it from the beginning, when I tried to use CCK to make my own project and release node types. Now that I've finally admitted that I could have been (and was) responsible for the problem, it was quickly fixed, and you're now able to download my works right from the site.
Updates to the site
As you no doubt notice, I've made some updates to the website. For one thing, you can now see the latest headlines from a selection of blogs that I read. As well, I've restored my Great Games Experiment badge to the site, although I'm avoiding having it in the sidebar for now while IE rendering issues are settled in Drupal.
BESM 3rd Edition has finally arrived!
After a very long wait including the bankrupcy of the original designer/publisher, the third edition of Big Eyes, Small Mouth has finally been released. I preordered quite some time ago, back when a deluxe edition was still in the plan, but since that got canned I now have two copies of BESM 3e (one of which will likely grace Frazer's bookshelf shortly).
I might as well announce this project now...
I've been working for the past month or so on another project of mine. That makes three concurrent projects not counting any games I'm working on. Anyway, Resume Builder is the name of the project, and it helps you create and maintain a resume. (It certainly won't help you bake a cake.) It's based on the idea that content and presentation should be seperate, and that a person may want to make and keep tailored versions without risking the loss of those custom resumes.
