April 2007 update of the DirectX SDK now available

Over on his blog, Dave Weller has announced the latest update to the DirectX SDK, including the list of changes.

Some changes with the April update include the lack of the optional symbols package. Instead of offering the symbols for download, they are now only available through the Microsoft Symbol Server, which sucks for people like myself, whose development machines aren't connected to the internet.

As well, the art tools extensions (the 3ds Max and Maya plugins) are being removed as of the June update, and so is the old, Direct3D 9 only edition of DXUT. However, a new edition of DXUT has been added with support for both D3D 9 and 10, so that's not as big a loss.
