Goodbye, Bill C-61?
Given the way the political currents are currently going here in Canada, it seems pretty unlikely that bill C-61 will get anywhere. After all, bills and other government business are dropped when parliament is prorogued. And it seems we'll be headed for a federal election this fall, probably on October 14. Good news for those of us against this copyright anti-reform.
In other political news, it seems the Conservatives are already airing election ads. I saw one on Discovery Channel this morning, extolling the virtues of Stephen Harper (yeah, I laughed, hard). Still, with Harper having not even gone to the Governor General yet, isn't such advertising, well, illegal? If so, that's yet another Conservative media scandal that the other parties can use against them.
