I've been thinking for a while how neat it would be to get to meet other Twitter users out here in the east end of the Greater Toronto Area — the Ajax-Pickering area, in particular. I've not organized a tweetup before, however, nor do I know too many people in the area with Twitter. So this'll be a new experience.

If you're in the east end and are interested in gathering somewhere in Pickering or Ajax, let me know! I'm going to use the hash code #APtweetup to send updates and follow others. If you want to participate, that might be the best way to tell me you want to take part.

For location, I'm currently considering the main branch of the Pickering Public Library, and for date and time, probably January 31 in the early afternoon (a long way ahead, but I've got a bit of a crowded month ahead, and this gives more time to prepare). Alternate suggestions are of course welcomed! I don't doubt that some people might be more interested in a location where we can imbibe spirituous beverages and a time later on in the evening. Again, #APtweetup is the perfect place to share suggestions.

I'd also like to point out that this isn't exclusive to Ajax-Pickering residents. Anyone, from anywhere, is totally welcome to take part. It's just the tweetup would be held in the A-P area. So if you'd like to hang out with me or others out here in Durham Region, here's your opportunity!
