A new way to watch FriendFeed: FriendDeck
If you're a FriendFeed user, you've probably heard about FriendDeck before. If you haven't, what FriendDeck does is allow you to watch your FriendFeed stream the same was you can watch Twitter via TweetDeck. It's a pretty neat web application.
Note how web is crossed out? Yeah. FriendDeck is now available on the desktop as well.
I'm trying it out right now. Like any freshly released program, it has its share of bugs and issues (no way to post to FriendFeed yet, and the developer, Paul Kinlan, has told me about crashes for Mac users). But the utility of the program means I'm not switching it off the way I have other programs and services. As something new, it's my role to help make sure it gets usable so we all can enjoy it.
If you're a FriendFeed user, try it out! FriendDeck will only get better as the days go by. And having that columns based interface means you'll be able to subscribe to even more people, without worrying about missing anything. It's win-win all 'round.
