Coffee and Code coming to Durham Region!

Last night, at Energize IT (hosted by Microsoft Canada at their Mississauga headquarters), I got to talk with Joey deVilla about a few different things. One of those topics, which I'm pleased to share with you now, is an upcoming Coffee and Code for Durham Region!
Joey started Coffee and Code back in February, as a way to let developers and IT pros get together in a relaxed environment to share ideas and network. Since then, the idea of holding these get-togethers has spread from Toronto out to other cities, with the gatherings happening in Guelph, Montreal, and even as far away as southern California.
With me organizing one for Durham, developers, IT pros, and other tech-heads don't have to go all the way downtown to get the Coffee and Code experience. I'll be bringing the experience to Whitby and Oshawa every other week starting Saturday April 25. A location is yet to be determined, but if you know any decent cafes in the area which provide wi-fi (doesn't have to be free but it sure helps) please let me know.
I've created an upcoming.org event for this. If you'd like to announce that you'll be attending, please add yourself to the list!
